What gets backed up
- Microsoft 365: email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams
- Laptops and desktops
- Servers and cloud virtual machines
- Accounting and line-of-business data
Microsoft keeps your data available, but it isn't a full backup. Deleted items are only kept for a limited time, so a separate backup protects you from accidents, angry ex-staff and ransomware.
Tested, not just switched on
We restore test files regularly and check the backups are complete. If the worst happens, you find out it works on a quiet Tuesday, not on your worst day.
A simple recovery plan
You get a one-page plan: what's backed up, how long recovery takes, who to call and what to do first. Written in plain English, not a fifty-page document nobody reads.
Questions
Isn't Microsoft 365 already backed up?
Microsoft protects against its own failures, but not against your mistakes, a deleted mailbox, or ransomware that encrypts your files. A separate backup is still needed.
If someone deletes all our email, can it be recovered?
Usually, yes. Microsoft 365 keeps deleted items for a limited time, and a separate backup lets you recover beyond that window.
